Church of Sant’Antonio
Description
The Sanctuary of Sant’Antonio da Padova was built to meet the growth of the Borghetto Santo Spirito community and the strong local devotion to the Saint. Construction of the new church began in 1970 and, with the establishment of the autonomous parish in 1978, it soon became an important religious landmark for the area. The church was consecrated in 1984 and elevated to Sanctuary status in 1995. Built with modern architectural design, it features a single fan-shaped nave whose center converges on the liturgical celebration area.
