The Municipality of Borghetto Santo Spirito is ready for the second edition of “Sport, Inclusion and Entertainment! Borghetto in Festa!“.
For this second edition as well, Piazza Libertà and the entire Matteotti waterfront will transform into a real open-air stage for an entire day dedicated to sport, inclusion and fun for young and old alike, with completely free activities designed to discover the value of sport as an opportunity for meeting, growth, participation and sharing.
From the most traditional disciplines to the most thrilling experiences, the event will offer the opportunity to try, discover and experience sport and more, in all its forms.
All this will be possible thanks to the collaboration of numerous associations that will enliven Borghetto Santo Spirito. “Borghetto in Festa” once again celebrates a community that moves together, during which the Volunteers of the Associations will make themselves available to allow everyone, without distinction, to experience great emotions with demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops and many other activities.
To participate, you will simply need to register at one of the two registration points, in Piazza Libertà and at l’Approdo Poseidon.
Once registered, you will receive a PASS bracelet that will allow you to freely access all activities.
Among the novelties of this second edition will be the opportunity to experience a particularly special experience: a tethered hot air balloon flight!
In full coherence with the values of the initiative, the time slot from 9:00 to 11:30 will be reserved for people with disabilities belonging to the associations involved in the event, with flights already organized and scheduled, to allow them to enjoy this special experience at its best.
From 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the tethered flight will instead be open to the public, until available spaces are exhausted. Participation will be possible upon reservation, which must be made on the website https://visitborghetto.it , starting from Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 10:30 AM.
Please note that the activity is strictly subject to weather conditions, as well as a series of requirements provided by Aeronord, which supplies the hot air balloons, to carry out the flight in maximum safety, as indicated on the website at the time of booking.
Also this year, moreover, the celebration day in Borghetto Santo Spirito will be accompanied by freestyle motocross shows and Mototherapy by Champion Vanni Oddera, which will bring spectacle, energy and plenty of emotions.
The day will open at 9:00 AM with the symbolic ribbon cutting in Piazza della Libertà and will continue with many activities and disciplines that everyone can try until 6:00 PM: in collaboration with Val Varatella Comprehensive Institute there will be artistic and physical activity workshops, a giant chessboard and other chess game stations will be set up, as well as an information stand on sports specialization and ceramic activities and then with the various Associations: workshops to discover papier-mâché, athletics, climbing, mini motorbike course, tennis, football, sailing, windsurfing, canine disciplines, dance, ballroom dancing, wellness, kickboxing, boxing, yoga, adapted cycling, a dive with friends, powder flower displays, games from yesteryear with the Ludobus and creativity with the Kaleidos Youth Center.
And there will be no lack of our four-legged friends from the dog training school, along with horses and mini ponies that will be waiting to be petted.
It will be possible to visit the helicopter of the 15th Helicopter Unit Carabinieri of Villanova d’Albenga, a special opportunity to get up close to one of the means employed by the Arma and witness a public order demonstration by the Carabinieri Canine Unit of Villanova d’Albenga.
They will be present with information stands: the Local Police and Civil Protection of Borghetto Santo Spirito, Volunteer Fire Brigades, Red Cross Public Assistance, Avis of Loano, the Provincial Committee of Savona of Unicef, the Association Il trenino di Elia, the Cultural Forum of Borghetto Santo Spirito.
There will also be a booth set up by Gaslininsieme ETS, the foundation created to support the activities of the Giannina Gaslini Institute, for a fundraising collection to support the New Gaslini.
For the entire day, the Civic Library will also remain open to the public, with hours 9:00 AM/6:00 PM, to make available to everyone many books in AAC, tactile books and audiobooks.
Pay close attention while strolling along the waterfront… Keep your eyes open! You might run into Iron Man, Thor, Flash and many other Superheroes, along with the famous Princesses, ready to appear by surprise and give away smiles, photos and lots of fun!
Within the program, special appointments will be held at the following times:
- 10:30 AM – Approdo Poseidon Conference Room – Meeting “Forever Sofia” curated by Barbara De Stefano;
- 11:00 AM – Via Duca degli Abruzzi – public order demonstration by the Carabinieri Canine Unit of Villanova d’Albenga;
- 11:30 AM – Matteotti waterfront at Bagni Corsaro – A dive with friends;
- from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM – Piazza Pelagos – Freestyle Motocross Show with Vanni Oddera;
- from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM – Piazza Pelagos – Mototherapy with Vanni Oddera;
- 3:00 PM – Matteotti waterfront – choreographic performance by Anna Chiola Dance School;
- 4:00 PM – Via Duca degli Abruzzi – public order demonstration by the Carabinieri Canine Unit of Villanova d’Albenga;
- from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM – Piazza Pelagos – Freestyle Motocross Show with Vanni Oddera;
- from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM – Piazza Pelagos – Mototherapy with Vanni Oddera;
Also this year in Piazza Libertà, there will be a refreshment point, where you can taste typical dishes of the Ligurian tradition.
For the entire day parking will be free throughout the city.
To ensure the safety of all, a COC will be set up on site, which will oversee the various areas where the event will take place.
