Descrizione

The Municipality of Borghetto S. Spirito and the Varatella Valley Library System present the XIX edition of the Course Literature for Children – Updates2026, supported by the Ministry of Culture and sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Merit, through the Regional School Office for Liguria by the Italian Library Association Liguria, and by the Project Born to Read – Liguria.

The program, which unfolds as always over three days, offers three afternoons of in-depth exploration on reading for and with children.

Wednesday, February 25th, 4:45 PM, the course will conclude with Author and Illustrator Sergio Olivotti, Andersen Prize 2025, who will offer the meeting What a story!

Sergio Olivotti will introduce us to the world of illustrated picture books, outlining their unique features and explaining their possible uses, also providing practical examples of theatrical storytelling.

Sergio Olivotti is an architect, graphic designer, and illustrator. “With renewed commitment, Borghetto Santo Spirito, which is honored to be a City that Reads thanks to the cultural programming of the Borghetto S. Now in its XIX edition, the course has become over time also a moment of meeting and discussion on the various themes and tools related to youth literature, with a particular focus on inclusion. The three afternoons, dedicated to Teachers, Educators, Cultural Operators, Librarians and all those interested in deepening the various aspects of reading for and with children and young people, proposes, once again, three days of meetings with great Experts who share a passion for quality books and publishing.”
